Hello!

I was looking for a translator in Luhansk in March of 2007 but couldn't find anybody to help me. Sad Heh.

Next time when I'm in Lugansk I'll apply for help. It's ok with me.
Do your selling guys.

It seems to me that people in Luhansk do not speak any English at all.
But the trip was good (except for the hotel I tried to book beforehand) and I met some hospitable people using the sign language.

Welcome.

The main idea is not only to have competitive rates but the take care of the people travelling to Lugansk and Kiev, imagine someone has to fly a thousand miles away from home and has no knowledge of the culture and Russian language . It's necessary to have an interpreter that will help in any situation while your travel. I think this is the essense of the service offered. Our interpreters will keep you out of troubles. This is what our regular clients value a lot.

A lot of interpreters in Ukraine set a high hourly rate but give a discounted rate for a full day of russian interpretation services.
As well as a discount for a full week and so on.

We do like this and it encourages us as the clients to pay for the full day, week or even month of interpreting services in Ukraine. I like to see reasonable rates for Russian interpreting services and I like to see discounts for longer periods of time.

The other thing is when we want something like airport pick up or flat rent we expect our interpreters to help us and take care of it as well, not just interpreting or translation.

Viktor, your agency tries to be helpful and it's really nice of you and your staff.

Michael no doubts, it's ok for a lady to learn English. I'd better say it's a must! The knowledge of one more language will never hurt.
If she wants to go abroad she needs to know English. She needs to learn basics: i.e. phonetics, simple grammar and some plain words to communicate. Another thing is who will teach her. There' re couple of private english teaching companies in Lugansk. And they do not charge much. It's affordable for ordinary people. They have lessons like 3 times a week for about 1 and a half hour per lesson. The teachers can also provide you the reports on how the "student" proceeds in her stuides.
This is ideal as you can call the teacher yourself and get to know everything. All the payments to these companies are official ( as they work legally unlike private English language teachers ) and they give you a receipt on demand for the funds a lady pays them.

If you think there's something fishy I can help then. My contact details (phone) is on the forum. You or this lady of yours can give me a call and i'll be glad to help you both Улыбка. It's not a problem at all.

I'll also post some of the English teaching schools for you to know:

She can try:

Aquamarine school - Lugansk School of Translators
Address : Lugansk, STREET 16 th Line, 38
Phone: +308642 - 554122 (Lugansk Landline)

Newton Foreign Languages Studio
Lugansk, Vatutina Block , 16
Phone: +308642 - 631295 (Lugansk Landline)

Hope this iformation will help her:)

Govt here tightening Immigration process mainly unsponsored applications and no or poor English applicants another reason I have get my girl to study language in Ukraine and any Ukrainian must have good skills language to enter country long term!

Migration U-turn: 'caught between a rock and a hard place'
February 8, 2010

The federal government's overhaul of the skilled migration program could damage Australia's reputation abroad, the federal opposition has warned.
Immigration Minister Chris Evans announced today that Labor would cancel and refund the applications of 20,000 prospective migrants living overseas.

The list of occupations in demand will also be tightened so only highly skilled migrants will be eligible for a visa.
Opposition immigration spokesman Scott Morrison said there would be big transition costs associated with the changes, which would hit the international education sector hard.
This is because there are many foreign students already taking courses on the in-demand list, whose study might no longer improve their chances of permanent migration.

"There'll be many students who'll be caught between a rock and a hard place," Mr Morrison told reporters in Canberra.
"It addition ... there'll be a lot of pressure on those colleges [catering to overseas students] and I suspect many will fail.
"That will obviously have impacts for jobs."
Australia's reputation as a destination for skilled migration could be jeopardised as a result, he said.
He urged the government to ensure that two-thirds of Australia's migration program came from the skilled workforce.

"It's important skilled migration remain the dominant component of our migration intake because it ... contributes to the economy, that pays the taxes, that pays for the hospitals and the roads and the services," he said.

Michael Glad to hear from You Again !

Thanks for the information. This is very interesting to get to know about tightening of the Immigration process in Australia.

It looks like a protectionism of the State while recession even for the population living there.

One client of our company complained today about getting visa to USA for his lady friend. It becomes a nightmare as well.

He sent the list of the things required, just check it out... and this is not all...

You have to call to the embassy and ask them about a visa for coming to USA. They will give you the whole
list of the documents that you need to prepare. The are:
1. passport.
2. 1 photo;
3. Form DS-156 (EVAF) with one photo, sticked to the form.
4. Plasticsmart card and a receipt that proves paying US $131 for the cosideration of a possibility of giving the visa to the embassy.
5. filled in form DS-157 .
6. filled in form DS-158 ( F-1/J-1/M-1 ? F-2/J-2/M-2).
7. copy of the form DS-2019.
8. copy of the form I-20.
9. proving of the payment of SEVIS-charge (tax) - $125.
10. copy of the form I-797.

Other information like the exact date of the flight, the reason for the trip and receiving person has to write a lady the "invitation"
letter saying where you will be staying and the address of where she will be staying, and it's also necessary to pay those charges.

It's amazing how the word become so small and at the same time some doors are closed.

UKRAINE HAS NO VISAS FOR AMERICANS! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT Улыбка)

Greetings Michael.

Yep, we have the new leader and this is true.
So far nothing has changed. No new restrictions
on the visa policies for foreigners...

I do not think Ukraine's president is so stupid to do this when foreigners bring long-awaited cash to Ukraine. Without tourists our country will lose a lot... This is for sure.
